The Block Island Maritime Institute is dedicated to provide educational programs and maritime activities, including marine and aquaculture science, Block Island maritime heritage, sailing and boating to all on Block Island. Our Education Center on Block Island provides a public sailing school, aquariums, aquaculture education, special programs related to marine science, sailing and maritime history and skills to all age groups and is our venue for group tours and camps for off-island schools and organizations. Our sailing program offers moderately priced sailing instructional programs for adults and children during the sailing season.
